Frequently asked

Do I need an account?

No. Freelance Flow never asks you to sign up. Your income, expenses, and receipts live on your device.

Where is my data stored?

On your phone. Freelance Flow has no server and collects nothing. If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, your data backs up and syncs across your devices through your own private iCloud. I never see it.

How does the tax set-aside work?

You pick a tax rate (a slider from 10–40%; the default 30% reflects the common freelancer rule of thumb). Freelance Flow applies it to your income to estimate what to set aside — loosely covering self-employment tax (~15.3%) plus federal income tax. It's a cushion, not tax advice — check with a qualified tax professional or tax software if you're unsure.

Can I snap receipts?

Yes. Add a photo to any expense and Freelance Flow reads the amount and date from it, on device. Photos stay on your phone (and in your own iCloud if sync is on).

Which currencies are supported?

USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, SEK, NOK, and JPY. Pick yours in Settings and it's used everywhere in the app.

How do I turn on iCloud sync?

Open Settings in Freelance Flow and toggle Sync to iCloud on, then reopen the app so it can rebuild the store with sync enabled. Your data then follows you to your other devices signed into the same iCloud account.

Can it remind me about quarterly taxes?

Yes. In Settings, tap Add tax deadlines to Calendar and Freelance Flow adds the four US quarterly estimated-tax dates to your calendar so they sync across your devices.
